Soon after moving to the beach, I noticed a sore spot on my nose. Being an optimist, I was sure it would eventually clear up. Of course, that was wrong and led to surgery (outpatient) to remove a section of my nose due to a basal cell cancer. The surgeon was highly skilled and you can barely tell that anything happened.
With each year that passes, it can seem that nearly every week there is a small, and luckily for me rarely large, new physical challenge. You wake up in the morning with a bruise and wonder how it got there. You through out your shoulder putting your shirt on. What an adventure!
